Illinois-based meat producer remembers over 2,000 Ibs. of floor beef over 'rubber-like' materials in patties

An Illinois-based meat wholesale is recalling greater than 2,000 kilos of floor beef after customers complained of “rubber-like” materials discovered within the patties.
The U.S. Division of Agriculture says Weinstein Entire Meats, Inc., positioned in Forest Park, In poor health., is recalling round 2,122 kilos of uncooked floor beef burger merchandise that could be contaminated with “extraneous supplies, particularly items of white neoprene.”

The grass-fed beef burger patties had been produced on March 14, 2023, and shipped to a web based distributor, which shipped the product to clients nationwide. The contaminated merchandise bear the established quantity “Est. 6987.”

The USDA says Weinstein was alerted to the issue after receiving client complaints of discovering white “rubber-like” materials within the floor beef patty merchandise throughout preparation.
As of Wednesday, there have been no confirmed stories of “adversarial reactions” after consuming these merchandise. The Meals Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) says customers could also be carrying the contaminated merchandise of their fridges or freezers and be unaware of the recall.

Weinstein is working with FSIS and has accomplished an inner assessment at its Forest Park facility to implement “corrective motion.”
